Tomas Bata University in Zlin / my Erasmus

by MonicaS » Tue Dec 20, 2011 9:50 pm

Hi students! If you thinking of going to Czech Republic for erasmus than you are thinking good :-) I've went there in 2009 in winter semester. I mainly choosed Czech because it is rather cheap country. At least food and drinks are not so expensive. I never spend more than 600€ per month in Zlin. That included everything - accommodation, food, study matters, travelling expenses, public transport, night life,... The most expensive thing was accommodation - 120€ per month (student dormitory).
I went to Tomas Bata University - my main course was Economics and management. This are really good courses: Managerial economics, Interpersonal communication management, Managing cooperation, Czech language, HRM and Presentation skills (professors Boris Popesko, Aleš Gregar, Andras Chernel, Petra Mandincova..). Studying on university was fun and not so difficult. I passed 4 exams with 10 grade, others with 9 (10 is best ;) ). I really suggest you go to Zlin, it is not such a big city like Prague (very beautiful city, if you have the chance go there!!!), but still, many students live in Zlin (around 15.000 if I remember correctly). You will not regret your decision!
Go on erasmus! I envy you, because my erasmus is over :)
Here is some information on Zlin:
